Inter Caste or Inter Religious Marriage

Inter Caste or Inter Religious Marriage — It is the duty of all persons in the administration/police authorities throughout the country that if any boy or girl who is major undergoes inter-caste or interreligious marriage, their marital life should not be disturbed or harassed and if anyone gives such threat or commits acts of violence or instigates, it is the responsibility of the officers concerned to take stern action against such persons as provided by law — Lata Singh vs. State of U.P. & Anr., (2006) 5 SCC 475 relied.
