Gram Panchayat — Election to the post of Sarpanch — Challenged on the ground that the appellant was not eligible to contest the election as he was not 21 years of age on the relevant date — Held, the burden to proof the fact that the appellant was not 21 years of age rests squarely on the first respondent — Gram Panchayat Act, 1964, Sections 2(h), 11(b), 31 and 34 — Evidence Act, 1872, Section 101.
